Hi!
I'm trying to boost the voltage beyond 1.25v but it's not working. When I set it to 1.3v at the default frequency, it shows 12gb instead of the expected 16gb. Raising the frequency causes the system to crash and won't boot. I have an i7 5820k with a clock speed of 1.157v stable, and RAM is running at 2666mhz with frequencies between 14-36-2 at 1.25v. Any advice on what might be going wrong? My PSU is rated 80+ 1000w, so it shouldn't be an issue.

what change is being made to the vram? keep it at the default level.
it's the ram, not the vram.
i need it because it boosts fps in games like fallout, 3dmark, and also just generally... the pc as much as possible.

RAM usage depends on Vram divided by Dimm, adjust accordingly.

henydiah :
volate RAM = Vram
Understood.
I explained my reason, and perhaps we can aim for improved timing and increased frequency.

keep the default settings will be fine! just make a few changes in the RAM and your PC might become unstable.
actually, I'm stable enough, but I want to go further. there are reasons why others exceed the JEDEC standards. 😉
