Hello, welcome to overclocking. You have an A10-7700 APU with 2x4 Gb RAM at 1600 MHz. If you raise the frequency, what might happen and could it damage the RAM sticks or cause issues with the motherboard? Thank you.

if you only increase the MHz there will be no damage like burning. Just crashes, freezes, no post,...it wouldn't harm the components. You'd need to reset the BIOS afterward to restore normal operation.
To verify memory functionality after overclocking, run memtest86+ on a USB flash drive and boot from it.
