Hello, I'm looking for guidance on overclocking my RAM using an XMP profile. I'm currently running an ASUS z170 Pro Gaming/Aura MOBO with an Intel i7-6700k at 4Ghz, and I'm trying to OC my Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8) 3000Mhz module. Is there any compatibility concern or additional steps I should take beforehand? Thank you in advance!

Occasionally a modest OC is required for the CPU to operate at the 3000mhz specification.

Occasionally a minor OC is required for the CPU to run at 3000mhz. At full specifications. Hi! Thank you for your reply. I updated my BIOS to the latest version and resolved the initial issue, but then another problem arose. Everything initially worked, though the CPU-Z stats looked normal. Later, a blue screen appeared shortly after loading a game, prompting a restart. After disabling XMP, the PC functioned properly again. If you're willing to help further with minor overclocking adjustments, please let me know. I have limited experience and your assistance would be very appreciated.
