Preparing to move from 10700K because it maintains stable temperatures of 95-100°C during short gaming sessions, even with undervolted settings and clocked performance. I’m confident on 9800x3d since I mainly run CPU-heavy titles like Rust and CS2. Currently I have 32 GB RAM but often hit 90-95% usage when playing Rust and a few Chrome tabs open. I’m weighing 48 GB versus 64 GB, considering the latter might be affected by the 8+16 configuration. I’m unsure if the 48 GB could be impacted, especially since I only use my PC for gaming and light tasks. My current build uses an MSI PRO B650M-P with a Micro ATX case and Fractal Node 804. Looking for affordable and reliable cooling options—maybe a Phantom Spirit? An RTX 4070 and a 750W Corsair (likely HX) are on my list.
I aim for a marginally improved MB. If you intend to remain on the AM5 port for as long as feasible, Peerless functions well. Phantom supports it. In the EU, Deepcool towers could be viable alternatives.
