Check if the Minisforum 790S7 works with a 96GB kit using 5200MHz RAM and 96GB of dual-channel SODIMM. The site mentions only 64GB at 5200MHz, but others have used larger kits successfully.

AMD states the 7940HX can handle up to 64 GB of RAM. You may achieve more, though results vary—some users succeed, others don’t. Regarding performance, speeds above 5200 MT/s are possible when using XMP/EXPO settings.

It’s likely they’ll lower the clock speed or require some manual adjustments, but it should work since the 7940hx supports 48GB dims—especially with devices having 96GB RAM and the memory controller built into the CPU. The official limit is around 64GB. By the way, this price seems steep for such a machine; the 4060 is actually the mobile version, which is noticeably slower. A $1100 investment could easily provide a much faster desktop setup.
