RAM issues
Hello, you’ve noticed RAM error codes appearing on the BSoD screen. A diagnostics tool flagged hardware issues, suggesting potential problems with either the RAM sticks or the motherboard slots. If it’s just the RAM, you’ll need to replace the faulty modules. To test the slots safely, you can use a logic analyzer or a multimeter to check for voltage and signal integrity without physically opening the PC. If you suspect physical damage, gently inspect the RAM slots for cracks or debris, and consider replacing the affected slots while ensuring proper alignment.
Turning off XMP might resolve the issue. If that works, adjust memory settings or voltage to achieve a stable 3200MHz.
Disabled XMP settings and performed another Windows memory diagnostic tool. The result still indicated hardware issues.
Start by using a multimeter in ring mode to verify if the connections are solid. If you suspect there might be issues, try installing memtest86+ first to test all your RAM before proceeding. You might also have a macro camera on your phone, which can help you spot tiny components on your PC, adjust lighting, and capture close-up views of buttons or switches.
Skip XMP temporarily and execute further checks as suggested by @Defective_Soul.
The system isn’t assigning the full 16GB of RAM. It only performs the test at 7182MB. Setting it to use all 16GB results in a failure message saying memory allocation failed.
