Ram issues
I have a configuration using an 1800x and a B350F Asus gaming motherboard. I installed two 2400MHz RAM sticks at default speeds, but the system stopped responding and reported a memory issue. After switching to a new pair of 3600MHz RAM running at 2133MHz, everything functioned properly. I suspect the original 2400MHz RAM might be defective. Testing it on another system confirmed it worked. What could be causing this problem?
Early Ryzen models required careful RAM setup. I haven’t seen a problem where the system would halt, but it can be tricky to get it running smoothly. Have you upgraded the BIOS on your B350 board to the newest release? Updates for AM4 have significantly improved compatibility with RAM over time.
Update your BIOS, upgrade to an 1800x model at a 50$ price, and boost RAM performance. This choice ensures better compatibility with modern CPUs and delivers noticeable speed improvements over older versions.
I've refreshed the bios, but nothing changed. I understand modifying the CPU is an option, though the system isn't mine. It's unclear if the user needs upgrades they don't require.
