Saving and exiting bios with xmp locks the PC for five minutes and prevents it from turning off, even without any adjustments. It keeps freezing no matter what settings are applied. Really frustrating and driving me away from using the computer. I’m considering switching to a different model because of all these issues.

Profile instability leading to lockup; use a lower frequency than rated when XMP is active and retry.

I've already tested it and it keeps freezing, even after loading Optimized Defaults or doing nothing. It feels like the new 3600 is not working properly, and everything seems broken after installing the correct BIOS.

Examined the rig in his profile. 1700X T-Force 16GB (details unclear otherwise) Giga 570XT Auros Pro Wi-Fi itx H200i case. EVGA Super Nova G3 750w. Cooler Master 120L CPU cooler. Uncertain if this will assist you or not... But the CPU could reach around 2667MHz with the mystery Team Group memory modules he has.

No, I haven't updated the chipset driver yet.

I understand, my 1700x performed perfectly with 3200mhz RAM, but now it’s not working at all—really annoying.

Checking the board, which BIOS version are you using—F40 or F51?

Consider revisiting the F40 version—it's the initial BIOS release that accommodates your chip. Skip the overclocking and stick to the default settings to test compatibility.
