Ram issue
Ram issue
When using two sticks, place one in bank A-2 and the other in bank B-2 for 3000Mhz. Running mixed RAM may not be compatible. Even if possible, the 2400Mhz stick would require the 3000Mhz sticks to slow down to 2400Mhz. Standard RAM changes can trigger the motherboard’s training process, which may be slow based on the board and CPU. A blank screen during training is typical. Working with mixed RAM often leads to stability problems.
Just hold on a bit longer and you'll need only the two 8GB drives.
Ensure the computer is completely powered down before handling RAM changes. You might need to reset CMOS or disconnect the battery, though be careful if BitLocker is active. Refer to the manual for recommended settings for three sticks, but you can keep all modules and organize them—two 8GB sticks in one channel and one 16GB stick in another.
