Based on my data DDR4 operates at double the standard frequency, so around 1600MHz becomes 3200MHz. Normally DDR4 runs at 2133MHz by default, but this seems inconsistent with the attached media. Please refrain from mentioning D.O.C.P as a one-click overclock; I understand that, but I’m unsure why my RAM didn’t reach 2133MHz after enabling it. The CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600, the motherboard is Asus B450mk-II, and the RAM is a Klevv U-DIMM 16GB 3200MHz BOIS version 3211. This was observed before D.O.C.P was activated, and after it was enabled, the speed remained at 3200MHz in Task Manager.
Opt for advanced bios instead of EZ mode bios. Adjust the RAM speed to 2133mhz rather than using XMP settings. DOCP isn't directly linked to XMP; however, XPM can remain active even when DOCP is turned off. Asus may still allow XMP even if you prefer not to overclock the CPU. To see the actual RAM speed, navigate to the advanced bios section. You might also notice that by default DOCP is set to "auto," which means it's "enabled" and then "disabled." If you started with the BIOS unchanged, XMP was likely already active while the CPU ran at its standard clock speed.
