The first option offers 64GB of RAM, while the second provides 64GB using a different configuration. Compare your needs to decide which suits you better.

2x32GB might work better than 2x16GB on many high-end boards. Timings in the 4x16GB setup are slightly improved, but sticking with 2x32 is still a solid choice unless you need quad-channel support.

The maximum supported memory in the motherboard can vary depending on the specific model and configuration. It's best to check the manufacturer's specifications for your exact system.

Quad channel refers to a CPU configuration with four processing cores working together. What you observed is that Intel uses XMP settings for its quad channels, while AMD labels its 4x16 configurations differently.

This product is the G.SKILL Trident Z Neo Series 64GB with two 32GB modules, using DDR4 SDRAM at 3600 MHz. It supports Intel XMP 2.0 and the F4-3600C18D-64GTZN model. You can purchase it for $270, and you can upgrade to a 128GB version later by buying additional kits.

I didn't notice a 3900X in your setup, which means you're not relying on quad-canal memory. HEDT CPUs support quad-channel RAM for additional performance gains.
