I own an older MSI H61M-E23 motherboard. I purchased RAM, but it stopped working a few times before finally functioning for a short period. I accidentally touched the RAM, removed it and reinserted it, then tried using the old modules—nothing worked. It only worked once before failing again. Are these symptoms indicating the board is failing? What options do I have to preserve it?

I faced the same issue with my server. The simplest solution was to take out the faulty RAM stick, and once it worked, everything was resolved.

Ensure you're using one stick at a time. If you have multiple sticks, post each one separately into its designated slot. You might also want to reset the system by clearing the CMOS.
