It relies on whether the RAM is a bottleneck and its speed.

Hey there! So you're thinking about increasing your RAM from 8GB to 10GB. Does that mean the 2GB gets swapped out for a 4GB? Because adding 4GB to an 8GB gives you 12GB total. If it's just 8GB to 10GB, the change won't be huge. You'll gain a bit more space for multitasking, but for games the difference won't be noticeable. It'll matter more if you need faster RAM speeds (higher MHz).

The system using 2gb isn't an indication to overlook it; it's being handled by the iGPU.

Increasing from 8GB to 16GB offers around a 5% overall improvement. Memory performance also plays a role, along with your usage habits on the system. Don't assume it will speed things up significantly—it won't!

I would benefit from increased performance if: 1. I can reach the second memory slot 2. My processor isn’t operating at its maximum frequency of 2400MHz, meaning a RAM with comparable speed would be more advantageous for me

as discussed earlier, 2400mhz is the highest frequency i can achieve. Certain games need at least 8gb of memory, and it functions properly though there are minor delays and jitter here and there. I think adding more RAM would help resolve that issue.

Typically it's about 96% when you're playing games, and above 50% when you're just browsing.

Alright, give it a try and notice how much it affects performance. As I've done before, if you're aiming for speed, consider adding an SSD now. Otherwise, the only real choice is to get another notebook.
