I have an Asus TUF Gaming MB with a Ryzen 5 3600. My RAM is G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (two 8GB modules) using 288-Pin SDRAM at 2400MHz. In the BIOS everything appears to be set to auto, but it shows 2233MHz. When I manually adjust it to 3600MHz and restart, the system fails to boot. After removing the CMOS battery and shorting the reset pins, it restarts successfully at 2133MHz. The issue seems to stem from an outdated BIOS firmware—version 1205 worked before a recent update to version 14, which now causes the problem.

The instructions indicated A2 and B2 as shown in the manual. I expected A1 and B1, but I followed the MB manual instead.
The value is corrected to 2133MHz, not 2300. Updated my initial entry.
Which motherboard model are you running? Are you using the X470 or the X570?
Adjust the voltage according to what your memory requires... For 3600 Mhz it should be 1.35v. Use CPU-Z to find the necessary timings and voltages, then note them down. AIDA 64 can also provide SPD profiles with additional timing data than CPU-Z. Once you confirm the voltage is set correctly, check BIOS or AIDA64 for the required levels. If needed, modify the settings gradually—starting with slower speeds if CL16 is suggested, and fine-tune as you go. Even lower speeds like 2666 or 3000 Mhz can be a good first step, improving performance over higher frequencies. If the system still struggles, your motherboard might not support those speeds, but at least you’re making progress.
You're using an Asus X570 Sheesh, haven't you? It's been a while since I assembled a PC, but I used to just plug it in and forget about it. I didn't realize I needed to manually configure it for optimal performance. I'll take a look at those later, probably during a longer reboot session. Setting up the hardware somewhere more convenient would be ideal, and I'll need to reset the BIOS now—right now I have to disconnect everything and remove it from the desk.
Activate xmp and it should function properly. If not, adjust the dram voltage to 1.36.
