Hello, Your new i5 9400F and ASRock H310CM-HDV board are a good setup. The Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM should work with them. Let me know if you need more details!

It should function properly at the standard 2666MHz setting right from the start without any problems. If you need confirmation about a particular memory setup, check the support page for the motherboard—there’s a "Memory QVL list" that shows which kits have been verified to work. You don’t really need it, but updating it afterward is a smart move once you install it (provided you’re fairly sure your power stays steady). It should cover patches for security issues and other fixes released by Intel.
