RAM compatibility
RAM compatibility
I've been facing some memory-related crashes and tried buying more RAM to try and resolve the problem. When I checked the motherboard website for compatible options, neither my current nor the new RAM was listed. Is this a significant issue or is it less of a concern these days with AMD? Also, I'm using a Ryzen 3600 in an MSI X470 Pro Carbon with the latest BIOS.
It’s not a major concern now, but I still suggest getting validated RAM for extra security. Even if I’m using un-validated RAM, it’s better to be cautious.
I'm dealing with a problem where my game (iracing) frequently crashes, showing error 0xC0000005. Online sources suggest the issue is related to insufficient RAM. I tried running memtest, reinstalling Windows and the game, but changing the RAM settings didn't help. It seems the problem started after upgrading the CPU, motherboard, and RAM. The RAM I'm using is 4GB each (4x4GB, 4GB total), which makes troubleshooting harder. Recently, I increased the page file size from 3GB to 13GB and applied a new BIOS update, but it still doesn't resolve the issue. I'm hoping this will stay the same.
