Hi
I've installed 32Gb RAM from G.skill and everything works fine.
I'm trying to run it at 2400Mhz using XMP, but I can't exceed the default 1333Mhz without getting blue-screen crashes during games.
I've tested everything from 1600 up to the advertised speed, but all result in crashes—even without overclocking.
My motherboard is an ASRock Fatal1ty Z97X, and the CPU is a 4790K (not overclocked).
The RAM I'm using is Ripjaws F3-2400C11Q-32GXM.
Any advice?
Oh the blue-screen error says it's an uncorrectable error
Thanks

Unusual. These are the mistakes I encounter when there isn't enough voltage in the CPU. XMP should work fine by itself. Perhaps attempt manual overclocking, use lower clock speeds, and boost RAM voltage.

Interesting. These are the issues I encounter when voltage isn't sufficient in the CPU. XMP should work smoothly now. Consider manually overclocking, adjust timings, and boost RAM voltage. Thanks for the advice, though. When I enable XMP it reports RAM at 1.65V and automatically raises CPU voltage. I found a BIOS setting to increase CPU voltage under load, which helped temporarily, but it didn’t resolve the problem in Fallout 4. A friend mentioned my PSU might be failing, but I’m not sure since I can run continuously at 1333MHz.
