Ram capped at 2400MHz while both RAM and motherboard back up to 2666MHz
I've had my PC for about two months now. I've noticed my RAM isn't reaching the expected 2666MHz. I'm using the Geil Evo Potenza 2666MHz 1x8 stick and an ASRock H310 CM-DV 2DIMM motherboard. The documentation confirms support up to that speed, and the package lists it as 2666MHz. I've tried adjusting the BIOS settings but nothing changed. Checked the CPU-Z tool—it shows a clock speed of 2400. There seems to be no way to fix this without replacing the RAM, which would be a hassle for just a 233MHz difference. Thanks in advance for your help.
Have you explored executing XMP profiles? Is it possible to adjust the RAM speed directly?
