I discovered that Corsairs Light RGB settings can be combined with non-RGB RAM to reduce costs by about 20 pounds, allowing for two RGB sticks.

They don’t have any real RAM built in.

It's possible to combine fake RGB RAM modules with genuine non-RGB memory. You might be curious about the reason behind it.

They appear to be designed only for RGB lighting purposes. There’s no concern about conflicts with your current RAM usage.

Some folks seem super particular about details, which can be confusing.

For some people having all four slots populated looks nice. having 4 dimms instead of 1 dimm a gap then a second dimm. If they have enough ram but want to fill the empty spaces I imagine it is a relatively inexpensive option. Since the advent of windowed PC's the "how they look" has leapt to the forefront. Youtube is filled with 100s of thousands of builds all showing custom sleeved cables lights info screens etc etc. The days of hardware hidden behind a steel plate have long gone. In the past it was more about how cool does the case look and now it is each and every component must look its best.
