Hello, I'm the puzzled chicken trying to assemble a PC. I got this 1 G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB DDR4 SDRAM (3200 MHz) for my MSI Enthusiast Gaming AMD Ryzen 2ND & 3rd Gen X570 AM4 motherboard. But I see everywhere saying dual-channel RAM is better, so what should I do now? Should I get another Ripjaws stick or buy two 8GB units and try selling the one I already have? Some people warn I might lose about 15% performance with a single stick, while the board claims it supports dual channels. If anyone has advice, it would be great!

For pure gaming, you'll likely need less than 16GB of RAM. If you can, give it back; otherwise, consider purchasing a 2x8GB setup and discarding your old one.

A lot of confusing terms with pictures and standards comes along with it, but a simple one works just fine.

Consider selling your current setup and purchasing a dual channel kit. For RAM, aim for something with low latency and DDR4 3600 is preferable over 3200. Within that budget, which option would be most suitable?
