When playing Rainbow six and joining a Discord call with friends, I experience choppy performance on Discord, especially when it's open. Closing Discord or minimizing it reduces the issue but still causes frame drops during mouse movement and prevents me from hearing my friends clearly. I have an MSI Armoured RX 580 graphics card with 8GB VRAM, an i5-6400 2.70Ghz CPU, and 2x8GB DDR4 RAM. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are the drivers current? Consider uninstalling and reinstalling them too.

Is the game being played in full screen mode, rather than a windowed borderless setup?

I've tested fullscreen and border modes, but stuck with border. Since I don't often use VSync, turning it on and off didn't make much of a difference.

I personally prefer borderless windowed because I have a second monitor and I enjoy using alt-tab a lot, though I notice most games perform better in fullscreen regarding frame rates. I’d want to verify if switching to fullscreen resolves any stuttering issues.
