Hey guys. I tried everything trying to setup Raid0 With my SSD and HDD. When i get to the Intel group section there is no option to create a RAID volume. Any help appreciated. You can DM me on discord or reply here. Sly#7172
Are you confident you can build a RAID 0 setup using both HDD and SSD? Or are you out of touch with modern storage tech? The speed difference is significant.
You already have an SSD installed, so RAID 0 isn't necessary. The process works like this: - Performance is limited to the slowest component, meaning your SSD will operate at the HDD's minimum speed. - Storage space is restricted to the smallest size, so the HDD will use the SSD's available capacity. You're missing out on advantages from both sides—are you certain you want to continue?
Yes. I aim to apply it for additional purposes. Losing speed isn't a concern.
I installed the M.2 Optane genie on my Msi Z370 A Pro and it shows two non-raid drives, but I’m having trouble creating a volume.
Volume could be reduced in Windows 10. It feels similar to raid0, you know? Basically, if you just want both disks combined into one.
Configure the setup to avoid reading the hardware ID, making RAID0 ideal. Avoid using cheats to fake your hardware ID.
You could purchase another identical drive, but it’s unlikely to be the same. Keep in mind that RAID0 increases the chance of losing data completely if a disk fails. When one drive stops working, all its information becomes inaccessible. It seems you’re not motivated by data protection concerns, are you? Maybe you’re attempting to bypass restrictions in a game client or something similar.
