The issue with RAGE is that it attempts to function as both an open-world FPS (similar to Fallout) and a linear experience, while also aiming for a racing game feel. It struggles to define its core identity, offering limited exploration beyond typical routes.

The term 'openworld' is now very popular in the industry. It can negatively affect a game. Gaining benefits from a straightforward progression like in Wolfenstein or HL2 could be valuable.

Here are some of my screenshots from a recent Rage session. The game runs on an R9 290 with modified config files, needing up to 2.3GB VRAM at 1080p. I managed to play it late once all early problems were fixed.
