Here’s the rewritten text:

I am searching for an ergonomic office chair with specific features, aiming for a price point around $109, similar to racing style chairs but without their restrictive design elements. Specifically, I need a chair that reclines, adjusts seat height, and has tilt lock (rocking lock) functionality – typically controlled by a large knob under the seat.

I don’t want overly aggressive “racecar” styling like bucket seats with lips on the sides of the seat or thighs, nor do I desire a headrest that pushes the head forward. Ideally, the headrest should be positioned as far back as the chair's back section, avoiding any outward curve.

I also need ample padding, comparable to chairs like the BestEquip Executive Office Chair, and it shouldn’t have leather upholstery.

Crucially, I don’t want a useless leg rest – I plan to build my own custom one for my horseshoe-shaped desk. Armrests aren't necessary either, as the desk itself provides adequate support.

I’ve spent considerable time searching for this combination of features and haven't found it readily available. I’m considering modifying a more expensive chair like the Secret Labs Omega, but I worry about the cost and potential difficulty of customization—specifically, cutting off the racecar-style seat edges and reinforcing the stitching.

Essentially, I need a comfortable, fully adjustable executive-style chair with the core functionality of a racing chair, without the unnecessary design elements that hinder my ability to use it effectively alongside my workstation.

I’ve recently purchased a high-back, multi-function ergonomic chair. It has thick padding and adjustable features in almost every way I could describe – seat slides included. If I were to dislike it, I would likely opt for the Flash Furniture Task Office Chair with Adjustable Arms (Walmart #14014322), the Kingfisher Lane Ergonomic Task Computer Office Chair (Product #543239439), or the Scranton Co High Back Fabric Swivel Office Chair (Product #297204149). These chairs have good reviews and seem like solid alternatives.

Here’s a rewritten version of the text, focusing on clarity and conciseness:

This chair is extremely disappointing. The construction is poor – every bolt comes loose, and the armrests are flimsy. It squeaks loudly after only a month or two, which I was able to temporarily fix with beard oil.

The padding is minimal, providing little comfort; it feels like sitting on a hard wooden bench covered in a thin blanket. Despite its claimed 300lb weight limit, the chair feels small and poorly built, especially for someone of my size (6’4” and 280lbs). Overall, this is the most uncomfortable chair I've ever used. Do not buy it!

Here’s a rewritten version of the text:

I recently purchased a high-back gaming chair from Walmart – [https://www.walmart.com/ip/High-Bac...ic...839uVYkTY0] – and unfortunately, it’s not a good fit for me. The lumbar support is too large, causing my neck to tilt back excessively when trying to rest my head. I considered adding foam padding and fabric to adjust the back height, but I don't want to modify the chair. It also doesn't slide, which would improve comfort during reclining. While the padding is thick and the tilt lock works well, I’m returning it. The recline isn’t sufficient – about three clicks less than my preferred full recline.

I then bought a Flash Furniture gaming chair – [https://www.walmart.com/ip/Flash-Fu...ic...8yduVYkTY0] – and I’m hoping it will be better. The lumbar support appears to have a more natural curve, and I’ll evaluate how far it reclines. If the lumbar is still too much, I might stitch in some foam padding to stabilize the headrest, as elastic band headrests shift too much and require constant adjustment.

If this chair doesn't work out, I’m looking at a couple of other options with tilt lock, recline features, and ideally, chair slides – though that might be a deciding factor based on how this second chair feels.

Here’s a rewritten version of the text, focusing on clarity and removing redundancy:

This chair offers decent comfort, particularly due to its full recline and tilt lock feature (which raises the knees). However, there are some drawbacks. The tilt lock doesn't extend as far as other chairs I’ve purchased, and I prefer a greater range of motion. The fabric is inexpensive – essentially netted basketball shorts material over padding – and isn't consistently grey and black like the product photo.

The seat depth is somewhat limited; the backrest extends adequately but the seat doesn’t span far enough outwards for comfortable knee support when reclining, especially for someone of average height. I considered a permanent solution involving modifying my current chair by creating a plywood ramp under the existing seat to improve the knee support and add padding for comfort. The headrest is quite deep (approximately 8 inches) and would require significant stitching to achieve optimal thickness.

Despite these issues, the chair’s back rest feels good and it reclines fully. I plan to build a custom solution by adding a plywood ramp over the existing seat and then foam and upholstery it for improved comfort and support.
