Hey everyone, here’s what I found with my new CPU. It’s a 4.7GHZ model running at 1.275V, reaching a max temperature of about 83°C with ambient temps around 32-33°C. Fun fact—I managed to boot it up at 4.9GHZ but couldn’t run Cinebench, so I’m planning to test it further. Temperatures are already high, so I’m holding back for now.

The result depends on the specific parameters used. Setting PBO and a negative curve typically influences the outcome in a particular way.

That’s a solid output, and you’re not missing much before hitting diminishing returns. Around 4.8 with about 1.3x speed should be fine, unless it drops below 1.25x at that speed. It won’t make a big difference if it stays around that level.

Have you checked compatibility with PBO using a negative curve? You should see similar results and improved single-core performance. Also, reduced idle power usage.

I haven't used pbo before and have kept it off. It seems the 5700x responses work better in BIOS OC than pbo—it's an unusual CPU, but I'm willing to try for comparison.

Testing at 4.6 is giving consistent results, and so far halfway through R23 at 1.25V it's stable with minimal drop. If I manage to reach even lower voltage, I'll stick with 4.6.

That's clear! I'm all in for trying it out. Testing is always enjoyable.

Absolutely, it's the most exciting part of getting a new CPU for me.

I've checked so far and figured out I can run at 1.16v @4.6. Right now it's 4.7, but it's stable at 1.25 in a few minutes—seems like I got lucky with the CPU.
