No OC on the GPU, just no need for it.
I mentioned earlier in another discussion the problems I faced with the GPU fan curve. Keeping the Afterburner curve active causes a slight temperature rise in my case and room. Turning it off works fine during casual browsing or office work, but when gaming and the fans fail, the room gets extremely hot while the office stays warm.
In that thread someone suggested relocating the thermostat and considering a window unit.
Regarding cooling performance, there’s another concern. I’m currently using the built-in cooler and it seems to be limiting overall temperature reduction.
My setup is a Phanteks p40 (400?) and generally struggles with adequate cooling. I could add more fans, but I’m worried about the noise they’d make. I’ve been thinking about installing Noctua fans on both the front plane and behind the CPU. The issue is that the front fan only circulates air rather than bringing in fresh cool air, and when the CPU pushes the cooler fan high, it actually pulls air in through the back fan. I’ve confirmed this with smoke tests.
