Hi there. You're experiencing a persistent orange DRAM light blinking during startup on your R5 5600X with the Asus B550 motherboard and 2x8GB Klevv Cras X RGB RAM sticks. After several troubleshooting steps—re-seating power cables, removing and reinserting RAM, taking the GPU out, reseating the CPU, and even flashing BIOS—you're still facing this issue. The power supply you're using is a 750W EVGA unit. I understand your concern about the B550 socket tension arm feeling loose; it did hold the CPU well during normal operation, but if it's loose now, it could affect stability. Have you checked the physical connections at the RAM slots? Also, ensure the BIOS version matches your motherboard model and that all components are properly aligned. You might want to try a different power supply or consult the manufacturer’s support for further diagnostics. Let me know what you find next!

You felt unstable once you fully lowered it and secured the CPU.

The tension arm seems loose, right? It feels very easy to unlock, almost as if it lacks any firm locking tension.

If you secure the arm firmly with the socket, it might indicate a worn-out socket. These usually provide strong holding power and significant resistance when securing the CPU.

It seems the system is restricting movement while the arm is locked. You only need minimal effort to place it in the down and locked state if that works for you.

The term can refer to various aspects of setup and compatibility. It doesn’t necessarily mean a heavy weight like 10 pounds, and a clear click when positioning the arm might indicate it’s not an issue. Check the motherboard packaging for details such as “Ryzen 5000 series ready” or any BIOS version information.

Updated the bios according to your request. The Dram light displayed flashes before and after the update.

It raises a question about whether your motherboard matches your RAM, and you're wondering if you can take some.

Tested 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz RAM. Same performance. Continuous dramatic flashing lights and no boot detected. Tried clearing CMOS just to rule out that issue. Still same result. Seems like either the CPU or the motherboard might be the problem. Figuring it out is taking time.

It's probable the RAM isn't seated properly. Memory stability is confirmed in the first 64kb; however, flashing issues may mean installation failed or the board is rebooting. Check first, then proceed. Ensure a click sound at both ends of each memory stick, including the side without the release lever.
