I'm checking the timekeeping systems. I'll install cinebench and hwinfo, launch hwinfo, and view the sensors section. Next, I'll begin a cinebench session and observe the sensor outputs.

The base clock remains stable, but performance will drop under heavy continuous use. The peak boost of 4.6GHz is achieved with one core during single-threaded tasks, so you won’t notice it in a multicore scenario. Still, some improvement should be visible. What are your current temperatures?

What cooler and case are you employing for the 5600x? If cooling isn't sufficient, you could face such performance levels.
