r4x 580 + r9 280x for mining

Hello everyone,
My setup includes: an i5 4670k at 3.4 GHz, an 8g DDR3 1866, a Gigabyte GA-Z87M-D3H, noctua NH-D14, an RX 580 with Sapphire Nitro, a Seasonic M12 II power supply of 850W in bronze, and I'm considering adding my old R9 280X for mining via a riser. Can the PSU handle the entire rig (two GPUs)?

The PSU is designed to work with both cards. Based on your power needs, the 280x can really boost your earnings.
It works similarly to a 1060, but it draws twice as much power. Be sure to double-check your calculations!

A 280x is going to lose you money since it consumes more money in power compared to coins it will mine. Your overall rig is just inefficient to mine on and will likely just be a break even at the end of the month.

Unless the cost of electricity is extremely low in your area, I'd follow Jaslion's advice. A power supply rated for bronze isn't really beneficial in this situation.
