You're looking to create a budget-friendly PC for your sister while dealing with limited funds. Given the constraints, spending more on a B350 motherboard might not be necessary if you're already using an AMD Ryzen 3000 series CPU and a GTX 710. Since she primarily plays Minecraft, Fallout, and other games that don’t require high-end performance, upgrading to a newer build like the R9 280X is probably unnecessary. Stick with what fits her needs and budget.

This board isn't great. For something similar to the A320, an A320 S2H would be a solid budget pick. You can also find a reasonably priced B350 if you're okay with basic upgrades. The B350 usually includes some cool features not found on the A320.

Could it make sense to purchase the B350 and boost its performance?

You'd gain very little, but upgrading your sister's setup with better power delivery on the B350 would save a lot of trouble. You could also opt for the 1200 AF, which costs $50 and works with Zen+, offering significantly improved performance.

The 1200 price is around £20 or $25, making it quite affordable which is why I’m choosing this option.

Then it looks good. As I mentioned, opt for the B350 if the price gap between B350 and A320 is substantial; otherwise, choose the A320 S2H.

I’ll take the B350. It’s a bit pricier, but the better build means it’s worth it.

The B350 offers good value. It provides better durability because it delivers functional power consistently.

This choice isn't ideal, but it might provide enough power for a 1200W load. Consider alternatives such as a B350 Pro 4.
