But some registry entries are essential for Windows, and altering them incorrectly could harm your system, potentially requiring a full reinstall. I'm not aware of anyone damaging hardware through registry edits before.

I repaired and photographed an old laptop for practice (and removed the key system) just for fun. I’m sure it’s safe to create a video about it without risking anyone else’s computer.
