The rear IO feature is straightforward to verify. Boards compatible with it will display a button on the rear IO labeled for flashback. Look at the button located to the left of the top USB ports, marked "BIOS FLBK".

The Z790-A lacks BIOS Flashback functionality. It seems better to choose another board instead of attempting to update the BIOS on an older CPU.

You can update the BIOS silently by using a bootable USB drive during the installation process, ensuring no visual output occurs.

You'll need an external BIOS flasher, which can be quite frustrating to use. This board lacks that feature compared to others in its price range (which is why I won't recommend it). If you're still within the return period, try it and consider something better for your budget. Otherwise, visit a nearby computer store—they usually offer updates for a small charge.

There’s no alternative solution here. You might want to check out a tech shop in Mexico City.

No, consider using external tools, hand over the board, initiate an RMA (though this may be more difficult than just sending it back and getting a replacement), install a last generation CPU to refresh the BIOS, then proceed, or take it to a store. Unless you have someone with a last generation CPU you can borrow, updating the BIOS won't be possible. I don’t happen to live on the East Coast of the USA, unfortunately.

Thanks in advance. I have a friend who has an Intel LGA1700 socket CPU and I might be able to borrow it. Appreciate the help!

Inquiring about the BIOS external flasher and its availability. Seeking advice since your friend isn’t willing to share his CPU.

They function mainly as an external ROM flasher. They attach to the BIOS chip pins and then rewrite its contents. Finding one is generally challenging, but options are available through platforms like Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, etc. Be aware they tend to be difficult to operate, so consider using them only when necessary. There are several guides online that explain how to use them.
