Hello, I built this PC a few years ago, around the time the 30 series was released. It’s a 3070 5800X, and I usually play games for about 8 to 12 hours daily, mostly World of Warcraft. I also occasionally play Warzone or Red Dead Redemption: God of War, always on the highest graphics settings with stable FPS. I haven’t had any problems before today. Today I decided to try Hogwarts Legacy and pressed play right away. My PC shut off, which confused me. I restarted it, increased the fan speed to 100%, tried again, but it still stopped. After about 7 seconds it booted up again, so I rushed to order a new PSU on Amazon, hoping it would arrive the next day. However, I’m wondering if the issue might not be with the power supply itself, but rather with the heat. I then ran an OCCT CPU test after 4 minutes, and it stopped because my CPU reached 90 degrees. Could this be a PSU problem, or is it more related to overheating? I also checked my Event Viewer and found a kernel power 41 critical error. I think it could be both the heat issue and a PSU problem, but I’m not sure. If anyone has advice or knows what to do, I’d really appreciate it.

Have you checked your CPU cooler?
Are the fans spinning?
Have you spread some thermal paste?
Did you relocate your PC to a LAN setup and the fans just stopped working or was it shipped out?
It clearly points to a cooling problem.
