Questionis my PSU faulty?
Hi, here is your issue explained:
My PSU is six years old and I’m experiencing random shutdowns. When trying to boot the PC, only the RAM lights up. After removing the motherboard and reinstalling everything, it works fine with both built-in graphics and my 1660. Still, random shutdowns happen mainly when using the 1660. Right now, it functions without the case. Is the PSU faulty because it’s old, or is there another problem with the PC case?
Sure, it's quite feasible. That power supply was adequate back then, but not built for today's advanced parts.
Thank you for the reply. I’d still choose a seasonic as a substitute. It worked well for me for six years.
There are several quality Seasonic items on the market. The Focus GX series stands out with its solid performance.
