I’m facing a tough decision, honestly. I’m definitely a gamer and play a lot of games every day. As a 3D artist working with Blender and Unreal Engine, I’m used to high-end specs. I found a used AMD RX 6700 XT for a reasonable price—about as much as an RTX 4060 with 8GB of VRAM. While some say 8GB isn’t enough now, I’m on a budget and have spent three years doing 3D art, where rendering is crucial. The main concern is whether the RX 6700 XT will really perform well compared to the 4060, especially for rendering tasks. Am I worried I’ll regret this purchase? I’m really unsure which card to choose and would appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance!
You're definitely a gamer! What games are you currently playing and what titles do you hope to tackle with your new GPU? Regarding specs, what resolution and refresh rate will you be using? I think 8GB of memory won't be much use soon. The PSU is quite old—even if it's brand new, it's not great. I'd recommend getting a solid, well-made unit when buying a GPU. For the GPU, either option should work fine.

For example, in Blender, on the 6700X at 1920x1080, the render would be as poor as it sounds? Any crashes or issues? I just want to understand because I haven’t used an AMD GPU before.
When the 4060 8GB was launched, the 6700XT performed roughly 12% better than the 4060 at 1080p, 18% at 1440p, and 20% at 4k. The improvement is mainly due to power usage. The 6700XT features a 225W GPU compared to the 4060's 125W, though it can reach up to 150W during intense gaming. While it offers better speed with 12GB RAM, it consumes more power overall. I fully support what @Lutfij said about needing a better PSU.
Examine this review. The main benefit nVidia offers is that many companies back its consumer GPUs, whereas AMD does not support them for rendering tasks.
