Question7800 XT vs 9060 XT
Question7800 XT vs 9060 XT
FSR 4 isn't enough on its own. It's already inferior to DLSS 4 in both quality and performance gains, but it will only get worse without sufficient support. Aeacus had a point about the 5060 TI being a stronger option. In comparison to the 9060 XT, it shares the same price range and performance, yet offers superior AI upscaling and ray tracing that give it an edge. When looking at the 7800 XT, a slight drop in performance could be justified by DLSS benefits, enhanced ray-tracing, and future readiness compared to the 7800 XT, depending on what matters most.
Another point is the RX 7800 XT costs roughly the same as an RTX 5070. That makes it a more attractive option because the card is much newer. Buying the 5070 would provide access to cutting-edge features like those found in the 9060 XT, while also being more powerful than the 7800 XT. If I were you and had funds for a card in that range, the 5070 seems like the top pick.
It might be wiser to compare the 5060 TI with the 5070, as they offer better upscaling support at a comparable price. I’d suggest going for the 5070 if you want to play GTA 6.
