Hi all,
I just got my new 4080 Super (MSI Ventus X3 OC) and noticed it needs three PSU connections, unlike my current 3070 Ti which only needs two. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get it up and running. Here are my PC specs: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/is...5982367-16

The PC is an HP Omen 40L from 2022, purchased brand new with a Z690 board, Intel 12700K processor, and an 800W Gold power supply. Detailed specifications are available at the provided link.
The PSU in your HP model only provides two PCIe connectors. To meet the requirements, you should consider a PSU with three connectors or one with a 12VHPWR cable, which would necessitate replacing the existing PSU. You're right, this would be suitable.
I purchased it and it will make the setup cleaner by using just one 12VHPWR cable.
