Hi all,
I just got my new 4080 Super (MSI Ventus X3 OC) and noticed it needs three PSU connections, unlike my current 3070 Ti which only needs two. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get it up and running. Here are my PC specs: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/is...5982367-16

If you lack the required connectors from your PSU, it means either the components are incorrect for the project or the PSU isn't suitable for the build. What is the model and year of your PSU?

Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information.
PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used).
Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, current usage.
Additional installed parts?
Ensuring smooth operation requires the system to have adequate power supply and sufficient wattage to handle all components, particularly during high-demand periods and sudden power fluctuations.

The PSU in your HP model only provides two PCIe connectors. To meet the requirements, you should consider a PSU with three connectors or one with a 12VHPWR cable, which would necessitate replacing the existing PSU. Omen uses a standard ATX PSU making replacement straightforward. Choose one from the top 10 listed here.

You're right, this would be suitable.
I purchased it and it will make the setup cleaner by using just one 12VHPWR cable.
