Question$2k+ USD AMD 2025 Build
Question$2k+ USD AMD 2025 Build
Hello everyone,
I’m gearing up for a fresh build and need some guidance. The biggest challenge right now is the fans—Lian Li offers a variety of models, and I’m unsure whether the reverse fan options are necessary to get optimal airflow. If anyone has experience with similar configurations, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I’ve already begun purchasing components but haven’t yet selected a GPU. I’m leaning toward the RTX 5070/5080, which is expected to drop soon this month.
My motherboard choice is also uncertain. The AM5 boards feel more costly than what I remember from about five years ago. Should I stick with my current setup or explore alternatives?
Any recommendations would be invaluable, especially since I’ve been out of the PC hardware scene for a while.
Thanks ahead of time!

Happy New Year!
You won’t need to include thermal paste on the list because Lian-Li already provides it with the AIO.
For the RAM part number, you can check:

The specs indicate it’s designed for Intel platforms.
If you’re considering an upgrade, you might explore a kit featuring AMD’s E.X.P.O branding, such as:

And consider a 2x32GB option if you’re multitasking and have many browser tabs open.
For the motherboard, you could swap the model with:

When it comes to storage, a smaller SSD would be suitable for your OS, apps, and launchers—especially if gaming is the main goal. For a gaming build, a larger 4TB SSD could work well without partitions.
Everything seems okay with what you have so far.
My 2 cents.
