Question Windows 11 Media Player Recent Media
Question Windows 11 Media Player Recent Media
I use the standard media player for all my videos on Windows 11. I haven’t created any folders or libraries, yet every video ends up saved in the "Recent Media" area. This is simple to remove, but it bothers me because each play saves a file there. I even notice the last video still appears in the "Now Playing" section after clearing the menu, even when I open the Media Player app directly. If this file changes or disappears, the player throws an error saying it can’t locate it. Please let me know I don’t have to manually clear it forever or deal with these issues. But there’s no option to avoid remembering play history.
I also use VLC for various tasks, but Windows 11 Media Player isn't entirely useless. It serves its purpose well for other uses too. However, there might be a method to prevent this unwanted behavior from an otherwise enjoyable app. It seems many users have faced similar issues.
