Question Which laptop --- OMEN 17 5060 or ROG G16 5050 ?
The links are in Turkish, but Chrome's built-in translation feature should handle them well. The OEM price for the OMEN is 1500 USD, while the ROG model costs 1450 USD. I'm interested in the OMEN due to its better specifications, though it has a lower price. My friends also use the ROG and highly recommend it. I want to try the OMEN but it has a 5050 rating. Should I opt for the 5060 version or choose a different brand with lower specs?
But ROG is now just trash, similar to how Razer's products are considered outdated. If you're looking to handle expensive gear with unnecessary features, you should also consider their warranty issues—they’re worth investing in.
I’d lean toward the HP Omen, but have you checked other brands like MSI, Gigabyte, or Acer?

Gigabyte offers only the A16 as a budget choice, and I’ve heard it’s a poor model. MSI has Cyborg 15, 17, and Katana, but I’m not sure about them. Crosshair is available too, though they’re pricey. Acer provides many models except for Predator, which I couldn’t decide on.
Regarding questions:
1- 63000 TL (1500 USD)
2- Anything with a 15-inch or larger screen
3- 1200p/2.5K resolution, though 16:9 is acceptable
4- No
5- 2-3 hours for watching videos is sufficient
6- Yes, I’m okay with low graphics and DLSS if it gives me 60 FPS
7- Taking notes for lessons is fine
8- 500 GB storage
9- Available at Hepsiburada, Trendyol, or Amazon
10- No specific requirements needed
11- Turkey – there are many high-end models here, including Razer
12- A low screen response rate matters because I want no ghosting. My friend has a 2.5K model with no ghosting and a bright screen, which is important for classes, school, and university. I’d consider OMEN if I knew its response times and brightness, but I couldn’t find reviews.
13- I don’t like portable or thin laptops because I need full performance and cooling, even though they’re heavier and bulkier. Bright screens are good, but performance is more important to me, so I can tolerate around 300 nits, not lower.
14- The epey.com site is helpful for comparing prices in Turkish currency. However, it doesn’t always list every model and sometimes the prices aren’t current.
