Hello there.
Would you like some recommendations on whether it's better to upgrade your PSU or purchase a new UPS?
Currently, I'm using a PSU model with FSP hexa 500w+ and a Stavolt 500w with a 500w unit, which I've been using for eight years without any major issues. However, I have some concerns because during that time, two of my MBOs failed—one after one year and another after three years.
I'm not sure if these problems were caused by a sudden power outage or if the PSU was already in poor condition.
The main questions are:
- Does a high-quality PSU really protect your components from sudden power cuts?
- Are there any PSUs with an automatic shutdown feature during outages to prevent damage?
- Will using a UPS make my components safer compared to a good PSU?
I have a budget of 100-120 dollars right now and am unsure which option is more valuable for keeping my PC safe.
My PC is mainly used for gaming, with specs like an i5 10400f, 16GB RAM, GTX 1660s, two SSDs and two HDDs.
Please let me know if anyone can advise me on this matter.

I don't have a preference, but I can suggest some popular online stores like iprice and shopee for your needs.

Wow, really great. From all those brands, the cooler master looks the most promising—even if they're the priciest. Thanks for the list!

I mainly purchase my parts online from tokopedia or shopee. Should I change my mobo first before swapping my PSU? Is there a good value mobo around 100$? I mostly use my PC for gaming, about 7-8 hours a day. Sorry for asking too much. Thanks for your PSU recommendation.

Is this AsRock B460M Steel Legend new or used? If it's new, it's the top choice under $100 I've found.
Links to other good options:
B460M DS3H V2
https://shopee.co.id/Gigabyte-B460M-DS3H...9668725234
https://shopee.co.id/MOTHERBOARD-GIGABYT...1732305205
MSi B460M Bazooka
https://shopee.co.id/MSI-B460M-Bazooka-i...1677875484
https://shopee.co.id/Motherboard-MSI-B46...9951401230
These aren't the best boards, but they perform better than the H410.
If your power supply is damaging your motherboards, consider replacing it first.
