I just upgraded my motherboard and CPU, everything fit perfectly until I noticed a red light for the CPU followed by an orange light for DRAM after turning it on. After some investigation, I realized the issue might be with the CPU fan not working despite being connected to the correct port. It seems my NZXT Kraken X62 AIO isn’t compatible with this setup since there’s no pump connector, so I’m unsure whether I need one. I’ve ordered a new AIO and plan to try that, but I’m stuck on what to do next. Anyone have suggestions?

ASUs rog strix b550 f gaming you mention upgrading the motherboard and CPU, but what changes did you actually make based on the specifications listed at the bottom of your post?

How would you adjust when you can’t use the computer? I’m not very familiar with this process, so please be patient. Once it started up, it showed an error saying the cup fan isn’t detected. My PSU is the RX 6700 X, and the RAM slots are in the second and fourth positions. I was using a B450 ASUS board with a Ryzen 7 2700X. I checked online before purchasing to confirm compatibility. Thank you for your help.

Just to check if symptoms shift.
Disconnect all disks...test.
Plug in one stick of RAM in slot A2...test.
Test with the other stick in slot A2...test.
Take out the GPU...test.

I’ll attempt this tonight. I’ve verified the CPU and it’s functioning properly and recognized. The BIOS reports a temperature of 45°C, which makes me uncertain if it’s too high and if the AIO is doing its job.

Changed everything back to the original b450 ASUs board with the new CPU and it’s functioning fine, though the B550 seems to have caused problems.
