Drop it. Disabling any core offers no advantage.

100mhz more isn't worth it. It would be like hitting your knee with an arrow because many games now run on four cores. Why limit yourself to three cores when you can get a better than three percent increase in speed?

100MHz more is about a 2% variation. If you're seeing 60fps in a game, it's roughly an extra 1½ frames per second. You won't notice the change unless you're certain you can afford to lose 2 threads. Oh snap! A Skyrim reference! Lol

The cache ratio should be adjusted based on your specific needs for optimal performance.

Please leave it be, there's nothing more you can do with that cpu.
You are getting the most out of that chip already. As long as it stays cool, it'll keep running at it's best.

Hey there, need to plan for the Ryzen next year. Also, check out r/pcmasterrace.

Adjust the BIOS to factory defaults, modify xmp settings, reduce vid/vcore if possible, but overall factory configurations are already fine-tuned for optimal performance.

Wrapping weights around your ankles so the scale indicates a higher weight doesn't actually increase your lifting capacity—it only affects speed and endurance. This kind of tweaking is artificial and superficial, making minor changes to CPU behavior. Sooner or later, the CPU will respond with a noticeable 'finger' and beep like a professional.
