Question Very Odd Boot Problem with My Computer
I’ve been experiencing issues with my desktop machine for several days. While trying to fix it, I found it can start without any connected drives. It also boots into the account and settings of the previous owner, which seems unusual. Could you help clarify how this happens?

When I took over the PC, I replaced my son’s C drive with a brand new 500GB SSD. Last September, I purchased a 2TB SSD and made a clone of the previous drive onto it. It functioned properly until recently when the computer began taking 15 to 30 minutes to start up. After that, I upgraded the power supply, but the issue persisted. Eventually, I realized the machine would boot without any drive connected, and it would automatically switch to my son’s old drive.
Which previous hard drive are you referring to? Are you asking about the one I previously cloned? It isn't currently in the system. Yes, I'm swapping it out for a new one, which seems to have stopped working. How does this connect to my current problem with booting up strangely?

The initial "OS Drive" refers to my old C: storage. It's currently disconnected, and all drives are offline at the moment. This explains why it doesn't boot properly. Additionally, I found out that the system won't start at all when the damaged 2TB drive is connected.
Yes, there are pc cases that allow 2.5" drives to be placed behind the motherboard tray.
Take off the second side panel and inspect it.
