Hello, I have two options for my initial gaming computer. The first is a Lenovo 5i with a compact design; my worry is that future upgrades won’t be possible because of proprietary components and possibly inadequate airflow. The second choice is the Skytech Gaming PC, which is a full-size tower. Here are the details:

Lenovo $1129 CAD vs Skytech Gaming Computer $1200 CAD
Lenovo IdeaCentre Gaming 5i Desktop PC (Intel Core i7-12700/1TB HDD/512GB SSD/16GB RAM/RTX 3060) -Eng - Only at Best Buy
Skytech Shiva II Gaming PC Desktop – Intel Core i5 12400F 2.5 GHz, NVIDIA RTX 3060, 500GB NVME SSD, 16GB DDR4 RAM 3200, 650W Gold PSU, 11AC Wi-Fi, Windows 11 Home 64-bit

I have no idea who Skytech is. The specifications do not mention a motherboard or PSU by brand name or model.
Do you have ANY reason to think that the Skytech wouldn't have proprietary issues, just as the Lenovo might?

Skytech uses small components, though they seem to rely on aftermarket parts. Gamers Nexus reviewed two Skytech systems, both of which were aftermarket; one received a strong review while the other...didn't. I'd like to know why these particular prebuilts are the only choices available.

It's not just these machines, but these ones really drew my attention because the hardware cost looked reasonable. The motherboard is an Asrock B660M-C.

The motherboard is an ASRock B660m-c and I reached out to the vendor, thank you.
