I decided to turn off my iGPU and entered the BIOS to adjust it. Once done, the screen turned black and I lost contact with the display. The monitor was connected to my 7800XT. After clearing the CMOS, I regained a signal and re-entered BIOS. Then I activated PBO again because the BIOS settings had been reset, and I also turned on full RAM speed.

CPU: Ryzen 5 7600
CPU cooler: Thermalright Assassin King SE ARGB
Motherboard: ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi
RAM: GSkill TridentZ5 DDR5-6000 CL30
Storage: 2TB 980 PRO
GPU: 7800XT
Power supply: Corsair RM850
Case: Montech Air 100
Operating system: Windows 10
Display: Acer Nitro XV272U
BIOS version: 1.28
New build, possibly a month old.

Task manager indicated RAM was at 4800, while CPU-Z reported 2393mhz. I attempted to change the RAM speed again, but it didn’t respond. The PC took time to stabilize even after exiting BIOS. What’s happening? All these problems began after trying to disable the iGPU and clearing CMOS.

In BIOS, I saw the RAM listed as DDR5-6000, yet Windows and Task Manager showed different values. It’s a brand new build, around 2-3 weeks old. Everything worked fine when I first set the RAM to its maximum speed. Now I’m unsure how to restore it to full capacity.

I disabled the iGPU by navigating through Advanced > AMD CBS > NBIO Common Options > GFX Configuration > iGPU Configuration > Set to disabled.

I did it when I first set up the PC, but then I had to restart the BIOS to get back in.

IGP remains active without issues since new boards automatically set up a discrete GPU. CPU-Z consistently displays only half the actual speed, not the true effective performance.

Attempt to restart the RAM speed again? BIOS indicates it's already set to 6000. I think the same will occur.

Yes, the task manager might be displaying an inaccurate reading of 4800 when the actual RAM speed is running at its overclocked level.
