Question The unusual + doubtful - PSU problems + graphics card + startup issue?
Never experienced a problem like this before.
The husband's PC would shut off on its own, even though he recently got a new power supply less than three months ago. Initially, the logical cause was suspected to be the PSU.
We decided to turn it back on after cleaning it, and it worked fine. However, it continued to have issues afterward. I don’t have the exact model name, but we noticed it would cycle through boot systems and BIOS settings. We attempted various fixes for the boot data, but nothing worked—according to the three or four sites we checked, they were available in the BIOS.
We turned it off again, double-checked the cords because we thought there might be a hard drive problem. We even tried installing Windows via a flash drive on another hard drive, but it still appeared when we tried. He attempted to repair the main board, which also produced another error message.
Additionally, when it powers on, it displays the message: "Turn off and ensure the PCIe plugs are connected to video cards," which it does.
At this stage, I unplugged and replugged everything, but the error persists—either around booting or IPv4, and a graphics-related issue indicating it needs to be plugged in.
Could it be that the PSU is still problematic, and a replacement will fix these issues? If not, what advice would you give to help us find the right solution?
