Question The Last of Us Part ll: cutscenes interrupted by gameplay?
I've never encountered a game with such lengthy, extended cutscenes. How many hours of actual gameplay are there, excluding the cutscenes? Even more frustrating was that I couldn't climb ropes until I bound w to advance. I usually use my right mouse button for moving forward, which generally functions correctly.
I'm certain the cutscene time in TLoU Part II is around 4 hours and 45 minutes, nearly double that of Part I. About half of the scenes in Part II involve Abby, while Part I focuses more on the main story. Part I has a total runtime of about 18 hours plus extra, whereas Part II lists 30 hours plus extra according to HowLongToBeat.com. I opted for Main + Extra over Story because I'm questioning whether the shorter Story actually includes every full cutscene or just skips some. Overall, since most cutscenes can be skipped and tools like gaming mice or XPadder are easy to use, it seems manageable compared to the bigger issues seen in many recent games.
