Question The Division 2 remains a widely played game?
Just re-downloaded the game on Uplay and Ubisoft launcher, enjoying it even though I don’t follow the main story and often don’t know what I’m doing. I was frustrated because there are no snow locations (the division 1 had them), but I still play division 2 since there’s armor and most enemies are easy to defeat. Still having trouble matching up in most missions—it looks like nobody is using the matchmaking group finder. Also, being on Ubisoft’s launcher means I can’t see population changes as shown in the text. (The Steam community tab displays the in-game population for each game.)
I notice people in safe houses but they’re just standing around doing nothing?
Is it worth playing as in 2022? I mean, I can play solo too, but I also like seeing others play it.
I was caught up in the first Division match when Ubi gave a free trial, then purchased a copy from eBay with the Survival DLC for around $12. The trial was quite deceptive because it didn’t display any of the heavy grinding required to obtain better gear. Of course, I haven’t been a big fan of tiered loot games, but Ubi is definitely the worst experience I’ve had with them.
In terms of server activity in games, there’s a website that displays the live player count. Tom Clancy’s Division 2 has a Live Player Counter on activeplayer.io. This number reflects global engagement, but remember it’s an estimate. If you limit it to servers near you with acceptable latency, the actual numbers will be much lower. It seems the platform’s popularity is limited by the ping factor.
