I have searched numerous graphics OC programs in search of a dependable option. Each one appears to suffer from serious issues such as failing to recall or activate the right profile, or experiencing random crashes that lead to overheating or an abrupt PC shutdown.
Currently, I use ASUS GPU Tweak II, which has worked flawlessly for several months.
However, my system now shuts down and restarts immediately after a short period. Immediately after it restarts, I feel the heat from the GPU radiator, though it isn’t overly warm. It’s a metal grille, which usually gets quite hot with my 66C GPU.
I’ve adjusted the settings in GPU Tweak to default for the card and haven’t encountered any system failures since then. Raising either the clock or power settings unexpectedly causes my PC to crash and restart frequently, especially during demanding games.
Despite having stable clocks for months—without any signs of artifacts, overheating, or system errors—I’m starting to wonder if something is seriously wrong.
It seems like a basic power issue might be at play, but everyone claims 850W is sufficient even when overclocking a 2080Ti. I’m unsure if my power supply unit is failing or if the software is responsible. I just need some clarity, as my mental focus is fading after weeks of this situation.
